They recognize that ending poverty must go hand-in-hand with strategies that build economic growth and address a range of social needs including education, health, social protection, and job opportunities, while tackling climate change and environmental protection.

Human Trafficking is the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type sexual labor. We are appalled by the phenomenon of human trafficking in the United States and around the world. Thousands of women and children have been kidnapped to “work” as sex slaves, beaten, raped, starved and caged. The United States’ Congress cannot and must not allow slavery to exist anywhere within its borders. The government must make this issue a national priority and more resources need to be dedicated to cracking down on perpetrators and dismantling these criminal enterprises.

The WMS-AMEC-NGO is currently conducting a letter writing campaign in support legislative action being taken the U.S. House of Representatives.
