The WMS as Non-Governmental Organization
The Women’s Missionary Society (WMS) of the African Methodist Episcopal Church (AMEC) is an international faith-based, Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), granted Special Consultative Category II Status in 1985 in partnership with the United Nations Economic and Social Council.
Traffickers entice, lure and coerce the vulnerable, unsuspecting victims with material goods and gifts, friendship, emotional support or shelter.
We pray for the victims, the targeted, and the vulnerable, frightened, helpless, hopeless individuals.
We speak out against human trafficking and demand through advocacy and petition that our elected officials support effective legislation nationally.
We pray for divine healing for the survivor and divine protection for the vulnerable.
