The WMS as Non-Governmental Organization
The Women’s Missionary Society (WMS) of the African Methodist Episcopal Church (AMEC) is an international faith-based, Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), granted Special Consultative Category II Status in 1985 in partnership with the United Nations Economic and Social Council.
The WMS-AMEC-NGO & The United Nations
- Working side by side with everyday people and various organizations
- Addresses complex issues that have no borders and cannot be resolved by any one country acting alone
- The WMS-AMEC-NGO is independent of State, Federal and International Organization
- Human Rights, Climate Change, Education Equality, and Eradicating Hunger
- Executing and promoting the welfare of the community
- Address global concerns for women and girls
- Continue to grow and cultivate our relationships with the United Nations
- Attend Meetings, Submit Reports, and share Information
