The District annual plan focuses on the two major issues which are observed as a leading thread to Women and Children common in all the 5 Conferences comprising the District, being:
1) Gender based violence, and
2) Human Trafficking
Achievements
The District has managed to develop a framework in the past six months, Conference and Local Circuits NGO Liaisons have been put in place and orientation of these newly appointed Officers is on the pipeline.
A short term plan was presented to the District WMS and dully approved for implementation; strategies are underway to put this plan in motion even though the CoVID-19 situations is not helping at all as a new variant keep on shaking the situation just when we feel a little stability settling in.
The District is eager to support the work of the NGO Liaison and the team setup to kick start this responsibility is excited and ready to execute their responsibilities as soon as the situation improves.
We are thankful to our past Supervisor Constance Wicker for her vision to start and support the work of the NGO Liaison in the District.
To God be the glory for the great things He has done.
We thank God for the leadership of Bishop Francine Brookins and Supervisor Rev Dr. Miriam J. Burnett
