Shawn M. Ross
What a blessing to receive a certificate, as a licensed missionary in the AME Church. A year later, I was asked to represent the Second Episcopal District as the women’s Missionary Society, Episcopal District NGO Liaison.
In 2010, I birthed a nonprofit named Indigo Consortium (IC). Indigo Consortium, is a 501c3. We advocated for women Veterans as they transition from military service to civilian life.
In 2019, the International President of the Connectional Women's Missionary Society, asked me to join her team as the Connectional UN NGO Main Representative.
I earned a BS degree from Hampton University, Hampton, VA. Served several years on the Board of Trustees for Hampton University, Hampton, VA. Then earning a Master’s of Public Administration (MPA) from North Carolina Central University, in Durham, NC. Certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR), and obtained an Employee Relations certificate from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY. Currently, I'm a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and trained in Mental Health First Aid.
I am married to a wonderful man, Reverend Barrington B. Ross. He is the servant pastor of Robinson AME Church in Grasonville, Md. We relocated to live closer to our two adult children and our six year-old granddaughter.
